1.) A $35.00
(not to exceed) gift be provided to a
member (if local 228 funds are available) for the
loss of a spouse, Mother, Father, Child In-Laws,
Brother, Sister, or Grandchild. The Treasurer
must receive a written request.
2.) When a member retires in local 228, they shall
receive a one time gift (not to exceed $25.00) from
it’s local 228 upon written request to the
Treasurer of local 228. Funds will only be
provided by local 228 if they are available.
3.) Members
of local 228 attending OPSEU
educationals or training shall be reimbursed in the
amount of $45.00 per day (not to exceed $45.00 per
day). Funds will only be provided by local 228,
through an expense claim form submitted to the
treasurer of local 228. Funds will only be provided

4.) Members from local 228 who are off on short
term
sickness (STS) for a prolonged period of time
shall receive flowers from local 228. The amount
is
not to exceed $35.00. A written request must be
submitted to the treasure of local 228. The
request may be submitted to the treasure of local
228, once a co-worker (member) has knowledge of
the prolonged short term sickness (STS) required.
Funds will only be provided by local 228, if they
are available.
5.) Any donations,
except those specified in the four
(4)
bylaws of Local 228 governing donations, shall
be granted only after a motion has been duly
passed at a General Membership Meeting.
